After IUI symptoms

Topic

The IUI treatment helps more couples to get conceived who suffer a lot by sperm infertility. It increases the motility and ability of the sperm to reach the embryo directly and lessen the travel time of sperm to reach the egg as soon as possible.

The success rate in artificial insemination is high because it is helpful for people who are suffering from sperm related problems. Many may think they need to be at bed rest after IUI treatment. But that is not needed but most people are advised to avoid strenuous activities for some period of time.

Let us explain the symptoms you may experience after your IUI treatment.

What are the symptoms after IUI?

The symptoms mentioned are experienced by women after successful IUI treatment. You are advised to be aware about these symptoms and if you feel any abnormal things immediately contact your healthcare provider to support you.

3 days after IUI symptoms

There are no major symptoms you may experience after 3 days of your IUI treatment. But you may feel some small differences in your body because of hormonal changes.

Mild Cramping:

After three days of IUI treatment, mild cramps may appear on your abdomen, a sudden pain arises because of tightening of muscles. You may not worry about this, this is common in the first three days of IUI treatment.

Light Spotting or bloating:

A light spotting may occur after three days due to insertion of a catheter towards your cervix or for the implantation process. So, don’t get tense on seeing the spottings. Be calm and relax and hope that it is happening for a good thing. But if the spotting may continue after 3 days you must consult your doctor for better advice.

14 days after IUI symptoms

As you move towards 14 days of effective IUI treatment, you may experience several symptoms related to pregnancy including nausea, vomiting, food intolerance, etc,.

Fatigue

It is a normal sign which you feel in early stages of pregnancy. Your body may undergo some variations and in turn you feel more tired and it signals you to take rest and relax yourself.

Breast soreness

You may experience sore, heavy or light breasts due to hormonal changes. These hormones make your body produce milk. You may feel very hard on experiencing this pain especially if your nipples hurt the most.

Morning sickness

During the early days of pregnancy, many women may feel very sick and over tired. This morning sickness may occur during the day or night.

Food intolerance

The important symptom you must notice after 15 days of IUI treatment is food intolerance. You are not interested in taking what you love. On the contrary, you may like to have other foods.

You may feel hungry more frequently or you may not. Some women are not able to tolerate the smell of food. It depends on the individual.

Spotting

Spotting is a common thing after IUI treatment. You may feel a painless light bleeding in your uterus. When an embryo implants itself in the uterine wall spotting may occur.

The blood flows high into the cervix and makes it more softer. Spotting is normal , and the implantation bleeding is less than your regular menstrual blood.

Missed period

The earliest and most common symptom of pregnancy is your missed period. This missed period determines that there occurs fertilisation and the egg is implanted successfully in the uterus for further development.

Along with the early pregnancy symptom, if you have missed a period, then you confirm your pregnancy.

Frequent Urination

Increase in blood fluid levels causes the kidneys to work efficiently. As the size of the uterus maximises, it also creates pressure to the bladder. Some women may start experiencing these changes in early pregnancy itself.

Changes in vaginal Discharge

During these fifteen days of IUI treatment you may feel some changes in your vaginal discharge. Because of increasing pregnancy hormones in blood, there is an increase in vaginal discharge to boost the hormones and blood flow on the uterus.
